The evening illuminated carnival on Saturday 14th October at 7pm, and the children’s carnival on Saturday 7th October at 3pm will be extra special this year. Highlights below and more detail on http://ccacs.org.uk
On Saturday 14th from 2pm onwards, outside the Market House, there will be a programme of music including the Somerset Hills Chorus, Pantasy Steel Band, Hank Marvin soundalike Justin Daish and international rock guitarist Chris Banderas.
The procession itself has a boost too, extra bands like the City of Bristol Pipe and Drums, watch Notting Hill Carnival’s leading clubs strut their stuff, celebrate Cary Comedians in their comeback year and cheer the results of Ansford Academy’s ‘create a cart’ challenge!
The children’s carnival gets special anniversary treatment too! After the procession, there will be a children’s entertainment festival, again outside the Market House, with circus skills to learn, face-painting, mask-masking and lots of special treats to eat!
